Ok. Where do I start?
This is going to get weird, so if you get freaked out by paranormal phenomena, you might want to skip this one.
I woke up today feeling better than yesterday, but still not great. I had intestinal cramps all day. At the last minute, I decided to join the morning yoga but made it through only half the session when I got lightheaded and thought I would faint. The day passed by with me in a half asleep half awake state. I spend a lot of time reading 2 books by an author I met while here. Her name is Radhika Sanghani and she wrote 2 perfect chick lit books.
At my yoga / pranayama session, Sandeep and I spent most of the time chatting. It was obvious I wasn’t going to be able to do much and he didn’t push me. There were no tears today and I left our session at 13:45, knowing that at 16:00 I’d be back for an hour long meditation.
Just before the meditation session I had to run to the bathroom. When I got there Sandeep told me that we would be doing a mantra session today. The mantra was the Maha Mrityunjaya mantra for healing. You can read about it here. I love chanting and this mantra was no different. After the repetitions, we started chatting again and I had to excuse myself to go to the bathroom. When I got back, Sandeep suggested a Yoga Nidra and I was thrilled. It meant that I would lay down and he would guide me through a meditation.
So, I prepped. I got onto the mat and got into Savasana. Savasana is corpse pose where you lay on the floor looking dead. It’s the one they always do at the end of a yoga class. So, there I was and Sandeep started the guided portion. After about 10 seconds, I felt a hand on my stomach but I could hear his voice and he wasn’t any closer. I realized that it wasn’t his had but something was there.
The visualization was of 2 Indian men, sitting in lotus on either side of me.
The one on my right was a student, the one on the left was a guru or master. The master promptly open my stomach by lifting it toward him. It was like my stomach could open like a flap. The left side of my skin was still attached but the rest was opened. The master, on my left, started pulling out pieces of blackened intestines and tossing them aside. After he got all the obvious bits, he asked his assistant to hand him some sort of paper towel type cloth. He used that cloth to soak up anything that was left behind. It seemed like the cloth could only soak up the black, and left the rest alone. I started watching him and he told me to go back to listening to the guided meditation. He would take care of the rest. So I did.
At the end, I sat up and my stomach felt like nothing had happened at all in the past day and half. My stomach was perfectly fine. I also had a bounce to my step that was a major improvement on the truffle shuffle that I’d been doing all day.
My brain is clear and I don’t know exactly what happened but I think I’ll chant some more before bed tonight.
That’s a wrap.
